Shipbuilding is the industry that builds boats, ships, yachts, and floating platforms. This is done generally near riverside or seaside facilities, which are called shipyards. This involves a lot of plates & pipe cutting. The cut plates are marked and welded to form the structure. The ship bodies are generally called Hulls.
Taiwan Plasma Corporation has been contributing towards this industry by providing cutting machines which does shape cutting, marking & bevel cutting. Our TIG machines are also used for root run welding.
Typical Applications
- Special Cutting of the metal plates to shape for fabrications.
- Plasma Marking of parts for identification, stiffener welding, other welding points, drilling points, and punch marking.
- Plate & pipe edge bevelling for weld joint preparation.
- Using TIG welding for the root run of thicker plates.
